Why I stopped communicating with my tribe
September 7, 2016
Remember me? It has been approximately 6 months since I last communicated with my “tribe”. For someone in my profession, that could be considered business suicide. Why would I stop communicating and providing valuable content to those who follow me? Sometimes in life you have to give up what you have in order to achieve what you desire.
As I have been traveling around the country training and coaching business leaders, I realized that I had a message that needed to be shared with the business world. With the encouragement of many of my clients, I decided to share my message in a book.
Initially, the thought of writing a book seemed pretty easy. I figured I could knock it out in a few weeks…Ha! I quickly realized that writing a book of this magnitude would take my entire focus. It has been my experience that if I want to excel at something, I have to submerge myself in it completely. Are you that way?
Therefore, I made the decision that in order to bring more value to my audience I needed to do the unthinkable and stop my communication all together so that I could focus on writing the book. Yes, this included my blogging, live videos and even social media for the most part. This was harder than I thought it would be. My passion is to provide content that will make a difference in people’s lives. I hope that you will forgive me!
Having said that, I am excited to let you know that the book is almost complete. I feel like a pregnant woman who is about to give birth to her first child. The pain has been real, but the joy will soon overcome the price that was paid to see it to completion. Only 1 chapter to go before it goes to print.
The lesson that I want to share with you is that sometimes in life in order to go beyond where you are and achieve greater heights, you will have to let go of the comfort of normality and step outside your comfort zone. I once read a book titled, “You can’t steal second base with your foot on first base.”
Don’t let fear keep you from living your life’s purpose. You have something to offer society, your story needs to be told, your message needs to be heard…GO FOR IT!!
By the way, I’M BACK! Make sure and get plugged in at www.thecaisongroup.com and on social media.
To Your Success,
